Initially, two of our senior talent partners joined Trainline’s recruitment team to provide support to help realise their ambitious growth targets across the UK and Europe. BOOSTA also acted in a consultancy role. We quickly impressed, delivering excellent candidates to their pipelines, to the extent that we were asked to add further support. BOOSTA’s impact was swift, dramatic and wide-ranging: delivering 139 hires to date across five different locations (England, Edinburgh, Milan, Barcelona and Paris). Our contract has been extended three times, with our number of embedded Talent Partners reaching a high of 8 during this period.
BOOSTA increased the numbers that matter and reduced the ones that cost. Our cost per hire is £5000, half that of the standard £10,000 agency average, meaning that so far we’ve saved Trainline £695K. We’ve also saved them time, cutting hiring times from 12 weeks to 7. Our offer to acceptance rate stands at 77%, with our CV to offers ratio at almost 50%.
BOOSTA is proud of our approach and its impact on the culture of its business partners. We implemented a new hiring process for web that has been implemented business-wide. Similarly, new reporting systems to Engineering Managers and the CTO have been taken up across the whole organisation. Our talent partners are committed to implementing processes that can benefit all aspects of an organisation, something Trainline were quick to recognise. Having been brought in on purely a Tech remit, BOOSTA now supports across all areas outside of Tech as well
We’re delighted with all our hires, but one in particular stands out. BOOSTA filled the Head of the new Barcelona office which will have a dramatic impact on Trainline’s growth, stability and the hitting of future targets, things we look forward to being a continued part of.
